Experiential Learning Lunch Discussion: Giving up control in the classroom, February 9

Let’s discuss the ways in which you have given up control in your classroom!  How do you empower your students to take over content generation, discussion, and evaluation?  How have you dealt with the chaos and the need to improvise that goes along with not controlling the whole message?  What have you found to be the advantages and drawbacks to implementing such a system?

You are invited to bring examples from your teaching, your experience, and your thoughts to the next Experiential Learning lunch discussion on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.  And feel free to join us if you just want to hear ideas from colleagues throughout campus to invigorate your own classes.

Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2016  (Note: Classes follow a Friday schedule!)
Time: 12 noon-2 pm
Location: Science Building, Room D139
Lunch will be provided by the Queens College Center for Teaching & Learning
