Experiential Learning: Teaching through providing experiences
Post updated Oct. 20, 2015
You are invited to discuss experiential learning on campus. In what innovative ways do you teach that engage students by having them *experience* the material? Share your own experience with what worked and what didn’t work and hear from colleagues across many disciplines about what they tried in their classes. We will also briefly discuss the CUNY Experiential Learning Task Force and how you can easily provide essential information for Queens College’s self study.
These will be informal meetings of faculty interested in improving their teaching. We request that participants prepare a 2-3 minute discourse aboutsomething they have tried recently in their class and a self-evaluation of what went well and what could be improved in the future.
If you would like more information or if you would like to be notified about future Experiential Learning events on campus, contact Christopher Hanusa at Christopher.Hanusa@qc.cuny.edu or 718-997-5964. We hope to see you there!
