Here at Queens College, collaboration across multiple departments leads to some unique and inspiring classes. Let’s get together and talk about official and unofficial teaching collaborations between faculty in different departments. Have you personally been involved in a multi-departmental teaching effort this academic year or the recent past? Or do you have plans to try to collaborate in the classroom in the near future? What do you see as the greatest benefits to your past or planned collaboration with instructors in other departments? What have been some of the challenges you have faced? What has worked well for you?
Prepare a two-to-three minute discourse reflecting upon your experience, examples of specific best practices, or questions you have. Bring your thoughts to the next lunch meeting of the Circular Teaching Squad on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Come for the whole time, or feel free to drop in when you can!
