Brightspace ABCs: Essential Elements Workshop Series, Spring 2024

Beginning April 8, 2024, the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) and the Queens College Brightspace Team are offering a series of virtual workshops focused on specific features of Brightspace. These workshops will be conducted via Zoom and cover essential aspects of Brightspace. Each workshop will be offered twice to accommodate faculty schedules. The topics and dates are listed below.

You are also welcome to join the virtual Drop-in Hours (no appointment necessary), where CETLL collaborates with ITS to provide technical and pedagogical assistance. The schedule and joining information are at CETLL + ITS Joint Drop-in Hours

CETLL reminds you that Queens College courses being conducted through Blackbard will be conducted through Brightspace starting in Summer 2024.  We will no longer use Blackboard. 

Blackboard courses from 2022-2024 are being automatically migrated to Brightspace. Please note that this process does not include migrating any Blackboard Collaborate Ultra recordings; faculty are responsible for manually backing up those recordings. Instructions can be found at How to Download Recordings from Blackboard Collaborate 

Faculty will be responsible for manually backing up and migrating pre-2022 courses from Blackboard. CETLL strongly recommends that you begin the backup process now. The first step to backing up your Blackboard course is to export a course package. For instructions, visit Backup Blackboard Courses to Brightspace.
